Along with new white lace curtains and bedding...this room is so soft and welcoming. I just love to sit here when the sun comes in the window.
Some of my quilts I have made are on the ladder.
a comfy chair and a comfy quilt,
The suitcase was a great find a couple weeks ago..for $1.00.
We have the white barnyard looking wall board on some of the walls, I really like the look of it.
Well....that was a long time ago...23 years as a matter of fact. This picture was taken the first year we were married.

I love the white mirrors! I also enjoyed seeing the old photo....I just love old photos and it is fun to see how people change! I did a quick stop by on your religious blog and the systematic theology book you mentioned was one I have just recently heard of.......
Lovely room! I love it all, you have some real treasures there!

Very restful and pretty, indeed. Makes me itch to paint something white.

Your white mirrors are pretty. Welcome to White Wednesday. olive♥
Love that suitcase. I collect old leather ones but can't find them for $1. More power to you for a good treasure hunt! Thanks for stopping by Porch Days.

Oh, I want that room!
Shannon, you might be reading in that chair by the beautifully lighted window...I'll be the one curled up napping on your lovely bed, snug under one of your glorious quilts. Great work on your room. Thank you for your kind comments on my post, 'Girls of Summer Birthday Luncheon.' I think that you'll really enjoy my daughter-in-love's blog, http://blackberryvine.blogspot.com -- she is so talented and does so many creative wonderful things. I'll bet that you want to follow her. What a beautiful room! Where does one start? I love how you placed all the mirrors on the wall and the suitcase you bought for a 1.00! I think my favorite is the scripture that you have put up.
The name of your blog really caught my attention becuase I was born in Washington state and raised in Okalahoma. However I am back in WA now.
My name is Sherry and I am new to the Bloggerette Sorority. I wanted to come by and introduce myself. I am sorry that I missed the rush, but I have only been blogging for a few weeks! Looking forward to joining in on the fun to come with everyone. I would be honored if you would stop by my blog at http://scrappingwithsherry1.blogspot.com/. Hope to see you there.
Take Care~ Sherry F.

What a lovely room! It looks inviting and comfortable and I love looking at all the little details!
It turned out very pretty I really like the quilts on the ladder and the bucket display next to them.
Your room is beautiful! I was looking around your blog and clicked on the picture on your sidebar. You posted it about the time of my sons wedding. I love the picture of you and your husband. Thanks for sharing your lovingly decorated space.
