Junk Trees

What to do with a growing collection of junk pieces, broken frames and wood slats.
Make a junk style wall tree!
Various pieces of frame and wood I had laying around were screwed together, you can even see a light socket in the mix.

The toppers for the trees are just drawer pulls, the other decorations are small tart tins and flat beads and are glued on with E6000.

tree one

tree two

You could also use rulers, silverware, table creative!
a simple craft project to use up left overs, make one for you and one for a gift.
I usually don't decorate until at least a day or two  before Thanksgiving, sometimes after, I thought this year I might try a little earlier after being so inspired with flea markets, blogs and Pinterest. We shall see if that happens or not.

Do you decorate early? late? Have you already started? Are you offended by the seeming passing over of Thanksgiving?
I have yet to do a thing but make my junk trees and buy a new pencil tree. It seems the more crowded my home gets with my junk obsession, the smaller my tree gets! I used to have a large tree, then a medium and now the skinniest one I could find.
Starting up a vendor business  took over my house and storage, making things worse ugh! Time for a purge and a storage unit!

This is an interesting idea and I believe it would get a lot of looks and start conversations at any craft show.

I have not yet caught the holiday bug.
I am busy finding hiding spots for my Halloween decor yet.

You are so clever. I love seeing ways to use up little scrape of everything. They are just too hard to throw away :)
Your little trees are adorable.
Great job!
Keep Smiling,
